“Light,” an all-member exhibit, will be held at Gallery House, 320 California Ave, Palo Alto, CA (650-326-1668) from November 15th to December 24th.  An artists’ reception will take place on Friday, November 18th from 6 pm to 8 pm.  The public is invited to the reception as well as to shop with the added incentive of a 20% discount on all purchases all day.

Gallery House will also partner with glassybaby for a one-day event on Friday, December 9th.  On that day, glassybaby hand-made votives will light the gallery, and a reception will be held that evening from 5 pm to 8 pm. The reception is open to the public and will feature Napa Valley wines. The public is also invited to shop for their holiday gifts with 10% of glassybaby and Gallery House sales donated to My Digital TAT2, a Palo Alto charity that helps youth develop the critical-thinking skills they need to manage their own privacy, respect the privacy of others, and use cyber-sense and ethical decision making in their digital lives.

As the days grow shorter, the year-end holidays provide an opportunity to keep light in our lives – whether through the lights and candles of the season, or through the warmth of tradition and time spent with loved ones.  The artists’ own personal interpretations of “light” will further enhance this show.  The exhibition features original artwork, ornaments, gifts and cards, perfect for gift giving or adding to your own collection.

Regular gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm, Sundays 11 am to 3 pm.  The gallery will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 24) and open Friday through Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend from 11 am to 3 pm.  The gallery will also be open from 11 am to 3 pm on the following Mondays:  November 28, ember 5, 12 and 19.  Phone: (650) 326-1668.
