The works of 11 artists will be on display during Agora Gallery’s Mystery & Apparition Exhibition from October 10, 2019 to October 30, 2019. There will be an opening reception Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 6-8 PM.

Hailing from such diverse destinations as New York, Venezuela, Armenia, Dublin, France, Poland, and Siberia, the artists various cultures and influences drive a compelling exhibition through unique mediums and absorbing images. Yet, they share a common thread as their artistry guides viewers on a mysterious journey, tossing vibrantly striking colors and often moody scenes along their canvas paths. The images on display expound the artists messages in a sundry array of emotions. Muted colors in acrylics and oils convey tension and apathy; while black and white images peer out with a furtive aura and foreboding sentiment. To balance the emotional range, images of birds, elephants, and giraffes, often whimsically rendered, portray a more calming and joyous aspect to the spectrum. Bathed in vibrant colors with layered strokes, ethereal landscapes set a stage for raw emotion to play out to observers. On view during the exhibition are works by artists Carlos E. Porras M., Grażyna Aneta Ochowiak, Anna K Art Katja van den Bogaert, Garese, Ingrid Strecker, Pamela Sullivan, Mushegh Grigoryan, Michael Livolsi, Lisa Sommers, Yulia Stephan, and Greenberg. Observers will note the variety of techniques used in their art such as acrylics, oil on linen, multiple textural combinations, utilizing exposed areas of raw canvas, and even aleatory drifts of sand. These enhancements create a mystifying showcase for the artists works.

Mystery & Apparition is opening October 10, 2019 and will be on exhibit until October 30, 2019. Agora Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 6pm. Entrance to the gallery is free.
