Agora Gallery presents the winners of the Latin American Contemporary Fine Art Competition, a juried exhibition featuring works by Latin American, Caribbean, and Latin American diaspora artists. The exhibition will be on view December 5 – December 15, 2018.

Featuring artists selected by a panel of distinguished jurors The Latin American Contemporary Fine Art Competition continues Agora Gallery’s commitment to exhibiting the best fine art from around the world. While all hailing from Latin American, the artists selected represent a diversity of styles, themes, and techniques.

What sets these works apart is their directness. Each piece communicates a message that responds to Latin America's place in relation to artworks being produced in the US. The exhibition delves the foundations of identity—culturally, nationally, and interpersonally. The works on exhibit have been shaped in response to a particular time and place, and their presence communicates the history of their making.

Often composed of regional materials, the works made by the winners of the Latin American Contemporary Fine Art Competition demonstrate the singular approach to artmaking happening in the contemporary Latin American art world.

Latin American Contemporary Fine Art Competition Exhibition will open on December 5th with a reception on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm. The exhibition will remain on view until December 15th, 2018. All are welcome to attend. Entrance to the gallery is free.
