Agora Gallery is showcasing a series of unique photographic artworks during their exhibit, Illumination: An Exhibition of Fine Art Photography, that will be running October 10 – October 30, 2019. There will be an opening reception Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 6-8 PM.

The works of Horst Gatscher and Dirk von Burgsdorff (“Gatscher von Burgsdorff”), Lliam Greguez, Eunnym Cho, and Mercedes Cachero are highlighted in an exhibition that invites viewers to observe a series of inspiring images via varied photographic techniques. These dramatic and gracefully elegant pieces conjoin the vision of the photographer's eye with the strokes of a painters brush.

Varied in their processes, the photographers have each carved their own niche in the photographic world.  Photographer Horst Gatscher and Painter Dirk von Burgsdorff have joined disciplines to present their “photo painting” works. Observers bear witness to the artistic decisions of the painter and photographer in equal measure. Lliam Greguez has created vibrant four-dimensional images of water, specifically in frozen form. His pieces transform the ice images to magestic sculptural fantasies sparkling in color, form, and content.

Combining her skills as a photographer and theatre designer Eunnym Cho presents true and often raw emotion to her digitally enhanced images. Light, colors, and textures accentuate poetic images that tell her tales. Mercedes Cachero often summons her inner Ansel Adams when peering through her lens. Her black and white digital images reach inspiring depths that seek pure emotion.

Illumination: An Exhibition of Fine Art Photography is opening October 10, 2019 and will be on exhibit until October 30, 2019. Agora Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 6pm. Entrance to the gallery is free.
