Gallery 456 is pleased to present Lily with Knife, a solo exhibition of Sid and Geri's works from 2018 to 2021, on view January 20, 2023 until February 10, 2023.

A selection of works by Sid and Geri that are meant to provoke the viewer, to reflect and re-tell the story of daily life. The things that are deeply rooted in society can instantly lose their sense of existence and transform into somewhere ethereal. The artist invites the viewers to luxuriate in these anxieties and weirdness.

Chinese American Arts Council's Gallery 456 Visual Arts Exhibition Series is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

Artist ( Description ):

Sid and Geri is an art group established in 2017 in Taiwan. The group collaborates with different types of people around different cultures. By deploying various mediums through video, animation, multi-media as well as space installation, their works show a unique sense of humor to express "the patterns around people", reflecting the daily living experience, providing a fantasy-like narrative, using visual and sound stimulation to show the absurd, frantic, and meaningless appearance of this era.
