PRESS RELEASE

SHADES OF HER | Women Art Exhibition

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

STATE OF THE ART AGENCY ANNOUNCES ITS FIRST EXHIBITION IN NEW YORK CITY ON SEPTEMBER 5TH 2019 AT NYA ART CENTER IN TRIBECA.

New York City, NY – State Of The Art Agency is pleased to present a group exhibition of selected works featuring three of the women artists it represents. The “Shades of Her” exhibition will run from September 5, 2019 – September 27, 2019 with an opening reception on the September 5th, 6 - 9 PM at NYA Art Center in TriBeCa located at 7 Franklin Place, New York, NY 10013. It will be part of the 3rd edition of NYAFAIR "TriBeCa's Contemporary Art Fair"

Curated by Roxana Sava, the exhibition brings together the concepts of nature and femininity, addressed by three women artists, Diana Chelaru, Kseniya Oudenot and VON ALLIN, in their own artistic vision.

Diana Chelaru’s expressionist work is known to delve into fragments of a secretive place where femininity and self are re-imagined.

Kseniya Oudenot’s art explores the man-made, altered nature within our society, using her fine art signature - the use of small ephemeral particles, both natural and man-made materials.

VON ALLIN’s minimalist work extracts the very essence of a feeling, a thought or a situation. Her unique perspective on life’s impalpable essence results in her strong, intimidating - and sometimes playful art.

State Of The Art Agency empowers women artists, through representation and management, curation of creative collaborations and partnerships, while dealing their work and connecting them with art lovers worldwide.

After years of working closely with the internationally renowned artists Mr. Brainwash and Eduardo Kobra, Roxana Sava recognized the need for female representation and empowerment within the art world and founded State Of The Art Agency to provide 360 degree services to this niche market. #EmpoweringWomenArtists

The artist Diana Chelaru, as well as the curator and founder of State Of The Art Agency, Roxana Sava will be present at the opening reception on Thursday, September 5th, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Gallery hours are every day 12 PM - 5 PM, and by appointment.

Artist ( Description ):

Diana Chelaru is an Expressionist artist and a muralist whose work is known to delve into fragments of a secretive place where femininity and self are re-imagined—and triumph and vulnerability are laid bare. She strives for more than Expressionist ideals and Modernistic transformations. Her style is a unique blend of Symbolism, Human Allegory and Jugendstil (the German branch of Art Nouveau) Ornamentation which results in a substantial body of highly moving and intensely ornate paintings, at the center of which stands the female figure. And while the feminine form is perhaps a hallmark subject of her works, they encompass much more than the reclamation of suppressed creativity, symbolic expression, and feministic re-interpretation

Kseniya Oudenot is a Ukrainian born, British artist living and working in Paris and London. Her art explores the allegorical resonance and fantasy involved in man-made, altered nature within our society and juxtaposition of time.

She is a multi-award-winning designer with works ranging from art to theatre costumes and high fashion, as well as projects for the London Royal Opera House, Scottish Ballet and Alexander McQueen. Her background influences are frequently spotted in her dramatic shapes, rich textures and bold use of contrasting components.

Her fine art signature is the use of small ephemeral particles, both natural and man-made materials

VON ALLIN is a German minimalist “contemporary artista” whose work extracts the very essence of a feeling, a thought or a situation. Her unique perspective on life’s impalpable essence results in her strong, intimidating - and sometimes playful art. She experiments with a wide range of different mediums and techniques including monochrome painting, mixed-media and installations.
The artist draws her inspiration from her personal struggle to understand and cope with certain emotions, thoughts or situations. Like a writer searching for the perfect word or a chef striving for the ultimate taste, painting and building are her ways of exploring and reflecting on the most intense, intimate aspects of the human experience.

In 2019, VON ALLIN’s art caught the eye of Roxana Sava, founder of State Of The Art Agency, who now manages and represents her.
VON ALLIN is currently living in Bonn, Germany, but her work can be found in private collections in Sweden, Germany, Great Britain and
New York.
