Self - Portraits Exhibition

Self-Portraits, a group exhibition featuring a diverse group of artists  exploring the enduring genre of self-portraiture. On view from April  24th through May 31th (SLA Art Space, 307 W 30th St, New York, NY 10001). 

Featuring artists working across painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, installation, and mixed media, the exhibition examines how artists define and express their identities through both image and material.

For some, this marks a first self-portrait; for others, a departure from tradition toward conceptual rather than representational approaches. Each work reflects on the artist’s sense of self, considering both their identity as a maker and the role of medium and materials in shaping that expression.

Personal yet deeply universal, the exhibition offers an intimate glimpse into the lives of the artists and celebrates the vibrant diversity of contemporary art practices.
