Agora Gallery is pleased to present In Line | Out of Line, a dynamic group exhibition on view from May 1 through May 23, 2025. This exhibition brings together five contemporary artists whose practices explore boundaries—some observed, others defied—and engage with the visual language of the line as a conduit for form, emotion, and transformation.

Alli Gerrish, based in Boulder, Colorado, approaches the canvas with a sensitivity to balance, memory, and gesture. Her soft color palettes and layered textures evoke calm and reflection, with works that feel both meditative and grounded. Each piece holds space for stillness, drawing the viewer inward through quiet composition and organic form.

In contrast, Michele Simonetti distills the urban experience into structured, minimalist forms. An architect and artist based in Brooklyn, Simonetti works with bold lines, flat color fields, and geometric abstraction. His paintings reference cityscapes while simultaneously stripping them down to their essential rhythms, creating a tension between precision and emotion.

UK-based artist Margo in Margate brings a vivid and personal energy to the show with her expressive portraits. Known for her colorful and bold renderings of female figures, her work is informed by a life spent steeped in art and daily practice. Her paintings feel intimate yet iconic—balancing visual vulnerability with presence.

Brooklyn-based artist Cabell Molina turns to mid-century American fashion and advertising as source material, reimagining this imagery through the lens of contemporary womanhood. Her layered, mixed-media works interrogate idealized femininity with a nod to nostalgia and a clear sense of agency. They are both deconstructions and celebrations—evidence of identity reformed through art.

Aaron Jackson Bowman brings an intuitive, movement-driven approach to the show. His drawings and paintings are rooted in a free-form process, where accessibility and rhythm take precedence over fixed forms. Bowman’s work invites viewers into a space of openness and interaction, balancing clarity with spontaneity.
