As part of Women Beyond Borders, presented by Art Queens Gallery in Times Square, Where Emotion Becomes Form brought Mona MO.leo significant public attention and earned her the Audience Choice Award.
Berlin-born artist Mona MO.leo emerged as one of the most resonant voices within Women Beyond Borders with her solo exhibition Where Emotion Becomes Form. The exhibition’s reception, marked by the Audience Choice Award, highlighted the strong emotional connection her work established with diverse audiences.
MO.leo’s visual language is rooted in movement and intuition, unfolding through fluid gestures that later meet compositional clarity. Rather than relying on narrative, the works create open emotional spaces, allowing viewers to engage instinctively.
Commenting on the recognition, the artist stated:
“Many thanks to everyone who supported me. I am proud and inspired — my art is now displayed in Times Square.”
With growing visibility and international momentum, Where Emotion Becomes Form positions MO.leo within a broader cultural conversation about emotion, abstraction, and contemporary artistic authenticity.

Artist:
Mona MO.leo is a Berlin-born visual artist whose work combines intuitive expression with a strong sense of structure. Working primarily with fluid acrylics on wood and Plexiglas, she allows color and movement to lead her process before shaping them into balanced compositions. Her abstract works explore contrasts such as chaos and order, emotion and clarity, through layered textures, organic forms, and symbolic geometries. Mona MO.leo has exhibited internationally, including at the Hong Art Museum in Chongqing and the Rothko Museum in Latvia, and currently lives and works in Berlin.
