Annual Members Invitational

With roots in Beirut, Lebanon, Audrée Anid  is a first-generation American. Currently, she is based in Brooklyn, New York. She holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and an M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York. Anid has exhibited at Photoville NYC at Brooklyn Bridge Park, Humble Arts Foundation, The National Association of Women Artists, Brooklyn Fire Proof East Gallery, Gallery at BRIC House, and Space Womb Gallery, among others. International exhibitions include Arts Suzhou in Suzhou, China and The Beirut Contemporary Global Art Fair in Beirut, Lebanon.

Jaynie Crimmins, a Brooklyn based artist, has been creating art from her shredded financial statements and mail since 2009.  She currently works with junk mail, which is difficult to recycle because the inks have high concentrations of heavy metals. Elevating the ordinary and overlooked aspects of our daily existence, her intimate pieces use an economy of means and restraint of process, inspired and influenced by Ruth Asawa’s practice and work.
Crimmins’ work was exhibited at 2016’s SPRING/BREAK Art Show and the 8th Annual Governor’s Island Art Fair.  Her project in process, Building a Blue Wall, was recently installed at the John Doe Gallery and Stand4 Gallery both in Brooklyn. In 2018, her work will be traveling to the National Museum of Romanian Literature in Bucharest for the Bibliophile Book and Object Book Biennial and she will have a solo show at the Rockland Center for the Arts in West Nyack, NY.  She is represented by Kibbee Gallery in Atlanta, GA.

Esperanza Cortés is a New York-based, Bogota-born multidisciplinary artist. Her interests and artistic practices lie in folk art traditions, art rituals, artifacts, music and dance of Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa. Through her artwork, she encourages viewers to reconsider social and historical narratives, especially when dealing with the legacy of Colonialism, and raises critical questions about the politics of erasure and exclusion.
Cortés has exhibited at venues such as Neuberger Museum of Art, Bronx Museum of Art, Queens Museum of Art, El Museo Del Barrio, MoMA PS 1, Socrates Sculpture Park, and Taller Boricua Gallery in New York. Her works have been shown internationally in Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Japan, Mexico, Colombia, Dominican Republic and Spain. Cortés has receieved fellowships, grants, and recognition from institutions such as the Joan Mitchell Foundation, The Puffin Foundation, Bronx Museum of the Arts, New York State Biennial, Robert Rauchenberg Foundation, and the New York Foundation for the Arts.

Monica Delgado was born in Manila, Philippines in 1979. She works with acrylic paint as her main medium, with a more sculptural approach. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts in Painting from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, cum laude. She currently lives and works in New York City.
Delgado has exhibited her work in solo and group shows in Manila, Singapore, Istanbul, New York, and Houston. Her works are part of permanent hotel collections such as Conrad Hotel Manila and Andaz Hotel Singapore. She has completed two residencies from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Zac Hacmon was born in Israel in 1981. He studied at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem and was an exchange student at the Slade School of Fine Arts, London.  He participated in the International Artists Residency at the National Art Studio in Seoul under the Unesco Aschberg Scholarship, the International Artist-in-Residence Program at MeetFactory Studio, Prague, and a fellowship residency at Salem Art Works in Salem, NY. Hacmon is a current MFA candidate at Hunter College in NYC.

Katya Grokhovsky was born in Ukraine, raised in Australia, and is based in Brooklyn, New York. She is an artist, independent curator, educator and a founding director of Feminist Urgent. Grokhovsky holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a BFA from Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne University, Australia and a BA (Honors) in Fashion from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia.
Her works have been exhibited in venues such as Smack Mellon, Center for Contemporary Arts Santa Fe, EFA Project Space, Arsenal Gallery,  NURTUREart, Field Projects, Underdonk, San Francisco International Arts Festival, Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art, Lesley Heller Workspace, HERE Arts Center, NYC, Amelie A. Wallace Gallery, SUNY College, Governor’s Island Art Fair, New York City Center,, Soho20 gallery, Watermill Center, among others. Grokhovsky has received support through numerous residencies and fellowships including The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) Artist Studios Program Residency (upcoming),  BRICworkspace Residency, Ox-BOW School of Art Residency, Wassaic Artist Residency, NY, Atlantic Center for the Arts, Studios at MASS MoCA, SOHO20 Gallery  Residency, BRIC Media Arts Fellowship, Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts, Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts, NY,  (New York Residency and Studio Foundation), Santa Fe Art Institute Residency, NM, Chanorth Residency, NY, Watermill Center International Summer Residency, and more. Ariel Mitchell was born in 1985 in Providence, RI. She grew up in little Stonington CT in a creative family and spent much of her childhood drawing, writing, and walking in the forest.
She received her BFA from MICA in Baltimore in 2007, attended SMFA Boston for one year in 2009 and has participated in residencies in Vermont, Iceland, Finland, and Bulgaria. Mitchell has lived in a myriad of places, including California and Norway, and is currently living and working in Brooklyn, NY.

Judith Mullen is a Chicago based artists who has had her work shown cross-country in the United States and internationally. Mullen has been an exhibiting artist for the past fifteen years and holds a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Merit Scholarship and Zanzi Scholarship. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and professional residencies, including the Illinois Arts Council Fellowship, The Drawing Center Viewing Program, Curator's Choice Award from the Chicago Artist Coalition, and more. Mullen’s work is held in many collection in Chicago, both private and public. She is represented by Linda Warren Projects, Chicago, Porter Contemporary, New York, and Lois Lambert Gallery, Santa Monica.
Janice Sloane is a mixed media artist who lives and works in New York City. Her work deals with the body, its impermanence, plastic surgery, ritual objects and the process of healing.

She is presently participating in the Eileen Kaminsky Foundation Residency Program,  and has taken part in the Salem2Salem artist residency at the Schloss Salem in Salem, Germany and Salem Art Works in Salem NY. Her works are in several private collections in New York, Mexico,  the C-Collection in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, and the Neue Galerie Graz, Austria.

Ilene Sunshine lives and works in New York City. She attended Boston University’s School of Fine Arts and graduated with a BFA in Sculpture in 1979.
Sunshine has exhibited works within various solo and group shows at various venues, including  490 Atlantic Gallery, La Maison Patrimoniale de Barthète, Eglise de Betcave Aguin, Geoffrey Young Gallery, Hewitt Gallery of Art, Perimeter Gallery, Sideshow, 156 Project Artspace, The Painting Center, Sandler Hudson Gallery, and Kentler International Drawing Space. She has received awards, fellowships, and residencies from La Maison Patrimoniale de Barthète, Constance Saltonstall Foundation, New York Foundation for the Arts, and more.
