Opening:
Thursday, 16 November 2017 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Agora Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Metamorphosis: Oppositions and Evolutions, a group exhibition featuring the works of Osvaldo Bacman, Ed Belbruno, Laura Colantonio, Josep Francés Anaya, Andrew Glass, Monika Gloviczki, Donato Grima, Theresia Innerhofer, Martin Randall Joyce, John Kingerlee, Malvisi, Vicente Marzal, Koki Morimoto, Eduardo Ojeda, Z. Michael Schmidt,Irene Shcherbakova, Eunhyue Shin, and Dave Weindorf.

The eighteen artists featured present dynamic and often opposing points of view in their diverse bodies of work. Ancient and modern, bodily and geometric, unknown and earthly—the widely varying works in this exhibition propose a series of thoughtful contrasts. Through painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media, Metamorphosis employs a multiplicity of visual languages in an attempt to blur boundaries and realize the virtue of manifold perspectives.  Via these powerful juxtapositions, the artists featured conjure possibilities for harmony despite difference. The result is a site of mutual transformation, in which disparate artists are united by their variance.

Metamorphosis will open November 11th with an opening reception November 16, from 6-8 PM, and will remain on view until December 2, 2017.
