Who: Jason Pulgarin (New York, 1990)  |  Chen Wei Ting (Taiwan, 1991)

About the Exhibitions: In “Main Event ” Jason Pulgarin will adapt his recently developed digital brushstrokes inspired style to depict a fresh series dedicated to the golden years of ‘WresltleMania’. Using the American Wrestling as a metaphor of  nowadays life and the distortions of the contemporary art market, the artist will bring to the gallery, as a unique and cutting edge revelation, Hulk Hogan, Andre’ the Giant, Macho Man and all the most iconic wrestlers with all the wrath, flashiness and drama that used to identify them.

On the other side in “I Saw You Before” Chen Wei Ting will set his imagination free from any temporal reference, populating the exhibition space with his visionary characters. Inspired by a mixture of traditional Asian mythology, popular culture and contemporary chronicles, these uncommon beasts combine at the same time extra cute components with the current hype and a singular timeless, nevertheless nostalgic, aura, that will shoot the visitor in a newfangled fairytale like territory.
