Spring Open Studio

Saturday, 18 May 2024 to Sunday, 19 May 2024

Contemporary artist Heather Stivison is participating in Hatch Street Studios' Spring Open Studio event. Hatch Street Studios is a community of artists working in a wide range of mediums including painting, weaving, sculpture, woodworking, print-making, pottery, photography and more. Individual studios are open to visitors by appointment. Twice a year, the artists join together and throw open the doors to their two grand brick and stone buildings at 88 and 90 Hatch Street in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and invite the public to visit.

Stivison will be on hand both days to answer questions about her recent work, and to discuss working method, techniques, and inspiration. Dozens of paintings line the walls, inside and outside of this studio. Works available range from giclee prints, to matted works on paper, to large-scale original oil and acrylic paintings.

Light refreshments will be served, and live musicians will be strolling throughout the buildings during the weekend.
