Partners Gallery is pleased to announce the August exhibit “Intuitive Journeys” by Arlene Reiss. The works in this show are primarily acrylic paintings, some with collage elements. Also included are monoprints. Reiss works on paper and then mounts the work onto cradled panels. She works intuitively and her paintings are emotionally evocative. She skillfully navigates a wide range of tones and colors creating open space for interpretation.

Not to be missed, in addition to the above, is a piece “Dali, Dad and Me”, a photograph of a portrait painting by Salvador Dali of Reiss’s Dad, Aaron Reiss, a Manhattan couture furrier. Dali did this portrait in exchange for a fur-lined trench coat. Arlene Reiss has added her touches to the photograph with collage and a bit of color.
