Here and Now - Paintings and Collages by Pamela Hahn

     In May Partners Gallery is showing Here and Now with works by Pamela Hahn. The paintings and collages in this exhibit are inspired by a variety of interests and experiences. A piano concert performed for her by a good friend resulted in Debussy and Tea. Beach Nights incorporate objects found going to picnics with friends. There Is A Place portrays a peaceful destination inspired by the song Somewhere. Whatever the subject matter, her work is influenced by the natural world and the fluidity of nature always evident on the Mendocino Coast. “Nothing,” she says, “seems to stay still for long.” This is compatible with abstraction and her medium, encaustic. “One has to be prepared for the unexpected while working with hot wax.”

Hours are Thursday through Monday from 11 – 5pm.
