Artist ( Description ):

Joey Feldman returns to Gabba with a solo show titled Gallimaufry, a word which means “a confused jumble or medley of things.”  Feldman’s collection radiates energy. Dynamic lines, expressive shapes, vibrant colors, and abstracted characters converge with compelling intensity.  Highly collected and coveted for his evocative style of painting and drawing, Feldman has shown at Gabba since 2014 and was also one of three artists Gabba exhibited at LA Art Show earlier this year.

Emek presents Picture Day, a series of delightful ink drawings of creepy yet lovable monsters dressed up for an imaginary school portrait.  Each creature puts his best claw, tentacle, or antenna forward for these once-in-a-lifetime headshots, drawn from the mind of one of today’s most prolific gig-poster artists.  Emek will also be showing prints and sculpture. His work has been featured on PBS, permanently displayed at Hard Rock Cafés, and holds three spots on Billboard’s list of the 25 Best Rock Posters of All Time—more than any other artist on the list. Emek lives and works in Oregon.

Luke Martin impresses with his debut solo show,  22, a title celebrating his bright young age. Despite his relative youth, Martin’s talent and drive have already catapulted him into the national spotlight. He has created official artwork for many high profile acts including Childish Gambino, Phish, Eddie Vedder, and Jimmy Page. His show at Gabba includes original fine line drawings using pen and ink. His subject matter ranges from the architectural (Sydney Opera House) to the humorous (Donald Glover dodging dragons in the streets of London). Everything is drawn delicately and in staggering detail, captivating the viewer. Martin lives and works in Baltimore, Maryland.

Gabba also welcomes Zeb Love for his first solo show, The Drift of Things.  Love has created gig-posters for The National, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters and many more. His  artwork depicts charming and whimsical scenes: a farm girl dreaming of city life while surrounded by  a menagerie of animals; a skeleton reading a book. Each feels like a passing, split-second, daydream imagining “What if...”  Zeb has worked with various media, including graphic design, but in 2012 his path changed with his first gig-poster. He now focuses on illustration and screen printing. He is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
