Cosmic Shift

SaveArtSpace x Gabba Gallery

Curated by Jen Stark

April 30 – May 14, 2022

Opening Reception:
April 30, 6 - 9pm

SaveArtSpace and Gabba Gallery present Cosmic Shift, opening  April 30. Curated by LA-based visual artist Jen Stark, Cosmic Shift aims to draw attention to the infinite coexisting vibrancies all around us, generating a myriad of lenses through which to examine, connect, and challenge our methods of perceiving ourselves, our minds, our environments, and the intricacies of our existence.

Following an international open call for artists, Stark chose 12 artists to participate: Marcelo Pinel, Maalavidaa, Krisztina Lazar, Remie Emdur, Ellie Pritts, Alpha Channeling, SPACEFILLER, angelfire, Dang Olsen, Lala Abaddon, Judy Ostro, and Nicole Buffett. The show will be on view at Gabba Gallery April 30 – May 14.

The opening night reception takes place Saturday, April 30 from 6-9pm. The event is free and open to the public. No RSVP necessary. Limited capacity. DJ Jonathan Williams spinning. Sponsored by Liquid Death and JuneShine. Limited free parking behind 3125 Beverly Blvd (enter off Dillon) or street parking. Ride share encouraged. Gabba Gallery is located at 3126 Beverly Blvd.

A portion of art sales will be donated to SaveArtSpace.

Cosmic Shift will be on view through May 14. After the opening, gallery hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday noon to 3pm or by appointment.

In addition to the opening reception at Gabba Gallery, there will be a public outdoor exhibition on Los Angeles billboards on view from April 25 - May 22.

Founded in 2015 by Travis Rix and Justin Aversano, SaveArtSpace is a non-profit organization that works to create an urban gallery experience, launching exhibitions that address intersectional themes and foster a progressive message of social change.
