"Of all the places I’ve seen, the Arizona desert is and always will be my favorite. And of all the plant life, the majestic saguaro reigns supreme. So when I started painting, I chose the saguaro as my star and other desert elements for supporting actors. My intention was to move on to other subjects as I grew more comfortable with brush and paint. But, as I progressed, my interest in experimenting with color and background outweighed my desire to increase my repertoire of subjects. “I love to delve into the possibilities of combining different techniques and colors to create the unique backgrounds I use to showcase a more vibrant and colorful version of the saguaro and its surroundings.” Tim
