Pine Bark Beetle Trails in wood by Virginia Stearns

In August Partners Gallery is presenting a show of works in a variety of media that examine the subject of archaeology.  Archaeology is the physical mining of the past for clues of human history that illuminate what it means to be human. The explorations of artists in this show include Cycladic figures, pot shards from digs, a wooden staff after shamanic traditions and ancient and modern “finds”, as well as clues from pine bark beetle “texts” and strata of ancient ice

 

Partners Gallery is located at 335N. Franklin Street in Fort Bragg and is open Wednesday through Monday 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays 10 am to 4 pm.
