Eva Montealegre was trained as a fine art painter by Robert Kingston, abstract artist.

ARTIST STATEMENT: I want to connect people. I want my artwork to connect people to their natural selves. I’d like to create a safe forum for communication. I want the language of my art to touch them, to pierce the heart. What was the biggest compliment I ever received? No words. Tears. Do you think there was a connection there for that person? Do you think she felt understood or maybe not so alone? There was one time at a gallery that a group of children ran up to my paintings in awe and wonder looking to me with curiosity and question in their excited eyes. That was a compliment I will always remember. So, you could say I’m going to be very busy on the path to experiencing more of that. Why? Because it heals me. I must do it or die. It gives me joy. It is much-needed, and people want it. I can give it to them. Connection. Be close to your natural self. I want to be my most wild, most authentic self.  I want to be my true self and share that with… you.
