Kari Bell - Contemporary abstract oil and cold wax painter based in Colorado, Kari is a retired academic whose goal is to explore the dimensions of the self and the world as well as push the limits of understanding.  Kari’s work is imbued with wonder without judgment.

Prerna Kapoor - India-born, Japanese artist, now living and working in Colorado, US. I consider myself a global citizen. At the age of 15, I was awarded an art scholarship to study Fine Arts in Edinburgh, Scotland. It introduced me to my passion and calling. From my wonderful teacher Mrs. Franchesca Shaw, I firmed in my resolve to learn and explore my love for colors further. It is always someone’s belief and encouragement that turns into motivation, as happened with me. From being a Japanese interpreter and Translator to a full-fledged devoted to art painter, the journey has had its moments of vacillation as well. From enrolling for further studies in art school, as also rediscovering my Indian roots, I even had a great opportunity to showcase my work in some leading art galleries of New Delhi while completing my advanced Diploma simultaneously. It enriched my color palette as well as adding to my repertoire.

Experiencing such diverse cultures has had a unique influence on the little nuances of my thought process, invariably finding its way onto my canvasses through my brushes and colors. I have been extremely blessed that I could learn and amalgamate all these influences in my work from the Japanese Sumi art, where each stroke is expressive and speaks about the distinctly meditative culture, to the Indian which is a riot of colors and textures in a traditional way, to the other nuances of Scotland and Singapore where I lived a while, it’s an ever-evolving vocabulary.

Nature in all its splendor and glory is an immense inspiration for my landscapes. The sight remains in my psyche till I have translated it to my canvas forever. My abstract paintings are an endeavor to explore the hitherto unknown realms of my own complex consciousness. Happy to be getting opportunities to exhibit my work in various shows, it is also an inspiration to go on walking on this colorful inward journey that finds outward expression and audience.

Anna Marie Mead - Painting expresses what I am feeling, seeing and hearing all around me.  Nature has always been the inspiration for my work: cloudscapes, ocean scenes, wind-swept hillsides and glorious sunsets.  As a child I was always captivated by light. The way light gently touched clouds or moved gracefully over blades of grass in a field creating shadows, shapes and blending colors into something extraordinary always moved my heart. Inspired by this elusive light, my paintings reflect this ephemeral magic. I love to blend colors with the freshness and freedom of natural scenes, and with an abstract interpretation. What is difficult to say in words comes through color, light, shape and movement in paint. Painting is how I speak from the soul.

Elaine Wendt - Coming from a place where words are unhelpful and unnecessary, it is difficult to come up with the right things to say about what my art is, or what it means.  What I want for it to mean, or what I was thinking when a certain piece was created are parts of another world in regard to what you see as you experience them. Knowing that eventually what is understood or experienced from the work that I produce is ultimately determinant on who is seeing it, I can only say that these works are experiments. It might not so much have to do necessarily with creativity, but expression. It need not be related to an image or a sound, but instead, a feeling or a drive; a non-physical sensation to be explored within the realms of our physical world. To fulfill a desire for fullness, or completeness, oneness is the force that fuels my artwork. Through any and every path that presents itself, it is the ultimate goal of every move that I make in my waking life. But this is not only with regard to art or creativity, but to life and to being alive. When we lose sight of this, we lose sight of reality.
