The paintings in this show are from an exhibition I had in 2005 with my
good friend Philippe Gandiol in the Loire Valley in France. When I was
asked in January if I could get a show ready for February, I thought of these
paintings stored in a closet and said yes. So here they are after 13 years. My
husband Steve, Philippe and I travelled three times to the Loire Valley to
paint and then to exhibit the paintings at the town hall gallery, a 17 th century
restored building located in the park next to city hall. The show was titled
Two California Painters Paint the Loire Valley. It was a beautiful time and
our show was wonderful. I am happy to have this opportunity to share my
Loire Valley paintings at the Pence Gallery.
