Artist Statement
The acts of civil resistance that have swept through six continents in 2019 have been coined the "Global Protest Wave of 2019." It seems that no matter what the politics are right, left, center, environmental, animal or human, the world is seeking transformation. The series of drawings in this exhibit are inspired by the common visual language that exists when large numbers of people mass and unite in protest.
