DesignerCon is an annual art and design convention that smashes together collectible toys, customs, plush, designer apparel and so much more with urban, underground and pop art! We are a celebration of all aspects from the world of design. The 350,000 square feet of programming space plays host to over 800 artists and vendors, including SuperPlastic, KidRobot, Mighty Jaxx, Gary Baseman, Ron English, Camille Rose Garcia, and Jim Mahfood, as well as street brands like Dumb Good. Grossing over $350 million worldwide, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse made one of the biggest impacts on popular culture of any movie in the past year. For 2019, Sony has partnered with DesignerCon to showcase a glitch art tunnel drawing attendees into the Spider-Verse themselves with a cutting-edge VR tunnel, featuring original art and animation from the groundbreaking film.

Returning for the second year in a row, MEDICOM will immerse attendees in a jaw-dropping array of merch hard to find outside of Japan. The company will be providing VIPs with an exclusive and limited-edition Bearbrick of the DesignerCon mascot. Artists Luke Chueh, Joe Ledbetter, Tristan Eaton, Kano, and Steven Harrington are also teaming up with MEDICOM to release custom-designed Bearbricks exclusively available at the convention on a first come, first serve basis.

A new addition in 2018, the Techzone will return for the second year in a row with even more VR and XR experiences to immerse convention-goers in the most cutting-edge narratives in the world. Juxtapoz Magazine has also partnered with DesignerCon to host a series of panel discussions and podcasts live at the show.

Built as a tribute to pop art and the brilliant minds that create it, DesignerCon continues the tradition of commissioning original works to set the tone for each year’s convention. For 2019, artist Steve Harrington has been commissioned to design the attendee badges, while Camille Rose Garcia will design the cover booklet. Additionally, billboard advertisements for the convention will be created by Steven Harrington, Jim Mahfood, Matt Gondek, and Scott Tolleson.

This year will feature a larger selection of cutting-edge streetwear brands like X-Large, and NTWRK will even be doing live broadcasts from the convention.

The art show this year will honor the Jedi Master himself, Mark Hamill, with an art show curated by Carman Acosta aka Jane Dope, titled Hamilltoon: The Many Voices of Mark Hamill. There will also be exclusive Mark Hamill Funko Pop ONLY available at DesignerCon.

After growing for over a decade into the largest designer toy convention in the World, DesignerCon has become a destination for the creative minds behind your favorite pop culture mementos from prints, to pins, to toys, to original art. There is something here for everyone who loves pop culture!

Following its massive success from last year, DesignerCon wlll once again host a special Friday night opening giving VIP pass holders first and exclusive access to all the vendors before everyone else, as well as some of the most exclusive releases in the world. VIPs will be granted early admission at 9am on Saturday morning, one hour before opening to the general public at 10am. Saturday will conclude at 7pm, with general admission Sunday hours running from 10am to 6pm.

The 2019 DesignerCon will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center on November 22 - 24, 2019. The convention center is located at 800 W. Katella Ave, Anaheim, CA 92802.
