Date:
Sunday, 25 February 2018
Opening:
Sunday, 25 February 2018 - 2:00pm

This workshop is for beginners on the violin (violas and cellos also welcome) with a minimum of 3 months of regular lessons up to Grade 1 level.

It aims to give a taste of making music together in a creative way to children from the age of 5years. Our music making will include playing by ear,

improvisation games and also some sheet music for the ones who can read music already. The workshop will not be based on any specific

learning style or system; no matter if students are learning with classical, folk, Suzuki or other methods, we will have fun,

experimenting on the instrument, developing a little piece of music together and playing with great joy.

The cost of the workshop is £5. A day pass (at £33/28) will also cover the children’s workshop.

The workshop is for one hour, from 2-3.00. Please bring your own violin!

Tickets are available on the door on the day. There should be plenty of room, but to guarantee a place contact Gundula at gundulagruen@gmail.com

Important Information:

The Tutor Gundula holds a recent DBS check.

Children have to be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying parents/guardians do not need to purchase a ticket for the children’s workshop.

There is a limited number of workshop places for un-accompanied children, e.g. for parents who would like to attend another workshop. Please get in touch with Gundula in advance by email or register at the ticket desk by latest 1:45pm.

The Tutors Concert is free for all children and adults who hold a ticket to any of the fiddle workshops. We cannot look after un-accompanied minors in this concert, therefore adults accompanying their children would need to purchase their own ticket for £5.
