Foraging walk: plant storytelling and foraging with Maymana Arefin (aka. fungi. futures)

Take a ramble through Wanstead Flats in this introduction to all things foraging and plant storytelling with community gardener, artist, and writer Maymana Arefin.

After an initial grounding exercise, we’ll take a wander through the flats, collectively learning from and with each other about how to identify plants that we meet along the way and the medicinal purposes, history, and abundance of stories they hold.

This walk will be mainly focused on identifying and learning about plants, rather than taking from the land. But, feel free to bring a jar or cloth bag etc. with you if you want to take some things away!
