Date:
Saturday, 24 March 2018

On the occasion of his solo exhibition at No 20, join Keith Roberts for a talk about his art practice and the works on display.

A selection of conceptually and emotionally charged paintings, sculptures and drawings invites to reflect about the Middle East, where silenced voices and mute witnesses take centre stage. As fearful populations seeking any kind of safety are pushed from one horizon to another, this exhibition reflects on the upheaval and chaos that is caused, and to tally the absences and silence that ensues.

This event is free and open to all, but limited places are available and booking is recommended. To register for a ticket, please follow the link https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/artist-talk-keith-roberts-tickets-44183815983

Artist ( Description ):

Keith Roberts studied fine art in Newcastle and then at the Royal College of Art in London. He was awarded a place at the Delfina Studio Trust and in 2005 an Abbey Fellowship to study at the British School at Rome. In 2017 the Estorick Collection commissioned three new ambitious works for their exhibition ‘War in the Sunshine, The British in Italy 1917-1918’. Two more shows followed in 2017 both of which were part of the First World War Centenary commemorations, giving him the opportunity to further develop the themes that inform much of his work.
