Mercury nominated electronic music producer DJ Swami joins forces with Punjabi folk musicians to create an innovative musical and visual experience, combining cutting edge electronic beats with the raw energetic DNA of Punjab.

Technology meets tradition as cutting edge live electronica and digital technologies combine with the traditional sounds of Punjab.

Mixing live electronic dance music with Punjabi dhol drums, vocals, sarangi, tumbi and the hypnotic sounding double flute algoza, the powerful distinct rhythms and traditional melodies of the Punjab will interact creatively with live electronic drum machines, synthesiser arpeggios and basslines.

Visual projections of original digital animations and live capture, produced by filmmaker John Minton, will complete a unique musical and visual event.

“One of the most electrifying performances I have ever seen” DJ Nihal (BBC Radio 1, quote about previous work by DJ Swarmi)
