Kensington and Chelsea, London, is set to come alive with world class public art and live performances as it is transformed throughout the entire summer with an incredible indoor and outdoor festival celebrating London’s creativity and culture.

From 21 June – 31 August, the inaugural Kensington + Chelsea Festival will bring people together to inspire and be inspired. Launched with Kensington + Chelsea Art Week and ending with Notting Hill Carnival, the Festival’s programme will put culture at the heart of the borough’s recovery from the pandemic.

The Festival is evolving every day with new announcements about the programme, launch events, opportunities for artists, ideas-sharing sessions, internships, workshops that encourage co-creation, sharing ideas and stories. This celebration of the arts will feed into creating extraordinary experiences in extraordinary times.

Fun, inspirational, surprising experiences will be safe and accessible across Kensington and Chelsea’s iconic venues as well as unusual public spaces, with online and interactive ways to get involved and enjoy the Festival.

BURSTING WITH CREATIVITY, POSSIBILITY AND CHOICE

The multi-disciplinary Kensington + Chelsea Festival will celebrate creativity and culture for everyone. The Festival mix spans visual art, Public Art, design, theatre, circus, opera, dance, music, outdoor arts, comedy, spoken word, young people’s take-over stages, family shows, talks, micro-commissions, with creative experiments enabling audiences to see artists bringing new ideas to life.

We believe it’s everyone’s right to help shape culture and influence possibilities. Local people, artists, audiences, staff and volunteers will reflect the diversity of our global borough and global reach.” Said the festival organisers.

Running from 21 June – 31 August, Kensington + Chelsea Festival will add a dynamic schedule of Weekender Hubs along with an extended performing and visual arts programme that includes the much-loved Public Art Trail connecting all zones of the Borough through ambitious outdoor installations.
