This is the third outing for the Fish Face exhibition, each time evolving and on this occasion including a third artist. The first two exhibitions consisted of artworks by Stacey Chapman and Emily Tull who interviewed local fisherman and created pieces inspired by these and the local area's maritime history. Stacey's focus is the fishermen, Victorian era to modern day living characters, created with pen and ink or textile assemblage. Emily has been recreating local catch of the days with hand stitching and will be debuting her new environmental inspired plastic pollution artworks. Joining them is glass artist Ian Barrowcliffe who's work is inspired deep in the water.
The exhibition 'Fish Face 3' will be on at the Fishslab Gallery, Whitstable 25th - 31st July open daily 10am -5pm. On Saturday 28th there will be a meet the artist event 12-4pm.
