Opening:
Saturday, 8 July 2017 - 2:00pm to 5:00pm

Join us for a first view of our upcoming exhibition.
This exhibition of Painting and Sculpture features work by three artists: Stephanie Rubin, Stephanie Fawbert and Nikki Tompsett.

All around us are cartoony, unthreatening representations of animals and sentimental images of children. This exhibition presents the work of three artists as they grapple with the real-life creatures. It brings together sculpture and paintings which represent children, animals and the honest connection that can exist between them. Avoiding the cute and cuddly, all three artists present us instead with untamed reality. Their work examines our desire to exert control over nature (and our own wild offspring) as we socialise and tame them but it also celebrates children’s freedom of expression and their joy in simply being alive.

Opening view 2-5pm Saturday 8 July.
Refreshments provided, free admission & parking.
Exhibition continues 11am-3pm Weds-Saturday until 22nd July (and by appointment).
