An exhibition by a diverse group of women artist printmakers with distinct identities and varied approaches and practices.
Eight Women Print is a collective formed during the lockdown. As the artists moved online, they adapted to new ways of creating and developing their individual and collective practices from their homes across the globe. Each group member has explored ideas and experiences that have resonated during the lockdown periods, of how we have all adapted and are still adapting to different ways of living and being. Their own personal experiences of isolation, upheaval and anxiety are explored, as well as global experiences such as migration and conflict.
The work will be predominantly printmaking, with sculptural and textile elements woven through the exhibition.
Eight Women Print includes the following artists: Jenny Crispin, Sarrah El-Bushra, Giorgia Grassini, Lorena Hererro, Alpana Kishore, Jane Laborie, Eleanor Morris and Delia O’Leary.
