Our surroundings change all the time, spaces and situations we are in affect our lives profoundly. When we speak with people who undergo changes in their lives, whatever it might be, what do they say? What do we hear?
The Stories They Told .. are the fragments of that what we have heard and observed

Sumer Erek is listening to the stories from the Mediterranean sea, they are the stories of people fleeing tragedy of their homes and the motion of waves swallowing lives ... what are the new places these people are in?
Through painting and sculpture Erek is... telling the reality of 'there' or 'here' where everywhere is nowhere or 'notopia'.
Sumer Erek's previous projects include participatory large scale public installations and sculpture.

Diana Krilova is looking into the identities of people living in London. What are their stories? What are the spaces which make us into who we are? There is a myriad of identities living in London, now and then we try those identities on .. or are we moulded into shape by the surroundings?
Diana Krilova shares her explorations through her paintings.
Krilova's background is in anthropology of material culture - her previous work includes painting, hand-drawn animation and short films on space and identity.

Doerte Weig lived for a year with the Baka people in the forest of North-Eastern Gabon. What is the space they live in and how can we try to understand it? Weig's photographic works are exploring the Baka forest as it is perceived by people who live within it.
Doerte Weig has a strong background in social anthropology - her research and artworks uncover different facets of movement and materiality, and the relation of the physicality of human movement with social change and the environment.

Guest artist Vivida Vi is listening to the inner world of her senses, her connection to nature and the world around her. Vivida's graphic works are the gobos of her mind-space.
