Pinpoint brings together small works by 13 Sarabande artists, each no larger than 20 x 15 cm. These small-scale works invite viewers into a concentrated world of detail, presence and memory - asking us to draw closer, to slow down and to notice what we might otherwise overlook.
The exhibition takes inspiration from the miniature, as described by Susan Stewart in On Longing:
"...the miniature speaks of infinite time, of the time of labour, lost in its multiplicity, and of the time of the world, collapsed within a minimum of physical space."
This sense of boundless attention within constraint echoes through each work. Like fleeting glimpses they hold the quiet poetics of the everyday. Subtle yet charged, these fragments form a collective portrait of observation and introspection.
