Erskine, Hall & Coe is pleased to present a new exhibition, ‘Nine Potters.’
Anita Besson ran Galerie Besson from 1988 to 2011; following her retirement, Erskine, Hall & Coe continued her tradition of selling the best of modern and contemporary ceramics at 15 Royal Arcade. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Anita’s groundbreaking ‘Nine Potters’ exhibition, which she held at Fischer Fine Art in 1986 before opening her own gallery. It comprised of 155 artworks by nine of the most important ceramic artists of the 20th century. Our exhibition will look back and celebrate Anita’s achievement with this show.
Artists represented include Michael Cardew, Claudi Casanovas, Hans Coper, Elizabeth Fritsch, Ewen Henderson, Bernard Leach, Katherine Pleydell-Bouverie, Elizabeth Raeburn and Lucie Rie.
The exhibition is fully illustrated on our website, will be open from the 30th of March through the 23rd of April, and is viewable from Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00am to 6:00pm.
