Marcus Harris returns to A&D Gallery with his second solo exhibition. With Responses he examines the essence of our collective understanding and the nuance of our personal landscape in the context of our responses to the external.

Harris' sculptures are an expression of energy, as a feeling and force in itself as well as an emotional reaction to the experiential and the internalisation of the prevalent discourse. This latest series of stone carvings invites a collaboration with the viewer who is encouraged to touch the work as a way to reconnect with the self.

The London show coincides with the artist's participation in 'Reimagined Narratives', an exhibition celebrating Egyptian art across historical venues in Cairo.

Artist ( Description ):

Drawing on a background of both Western and Egyptian culture and one that oscillates between the artistic and the academic, Marcus Harris' sculptures are an expression of both the intuitive and the intellectual; an amalgamation of the organic, cerebral and metaphysical.
