ROME – On the occasion of Slow Art Day, the global event dedicated to rediscovering the pleasure of looking at art, Rossocinabrogallery invites the public to participate in a unique sensory experience.
Founded in 2010 and now a global phenomenon involving more than 1,500 museums and galleries worldwide, Slow Art Day has a simple yet revolutionary mission: to help people discover the joy of looking at and loving art by slowing down the frantic pace of modern life.
While the average museum visitor spends only 8-10 seconds looking at a work of art, Rossocinabro suggests reversing this trend. Visitors are encouraged to select a few works and dedicate anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour to each, moving from form to emotion and discovering details invisible to a rushed eye.
"Stop in front of a work and give it your time: only when the gaze slows down does art begin to speak," says Cristina Madini (Curator @Rossocinabro).
The event is open to everyone, from experts to first-time visitors. No technical knowledge is required—only the willingness to establish a personal and subjective connection with the artwork.
Notes on the Artists These authors represent the backbone of Rossocinabro's current exhibitions (such as Human Geographies and Edges of Being). Their works have been specifically selected for their ability to reveal deep details and emotional layers when observed with due calmness, perfectly in line with the spirit of the global Slow Art Day movement.
