CAROLA MAZOT (Valdagno 2-12-1929 - † Milan 24-05-2016) Veneta by origin, Milanese by adoption, begins at the age of thirteen painting with her maternal grandfather Vettore Zanetti Zilla, at sixteen she enters the studio of Donato Frisia, at eighteen the sculptor Lorenzo Pepe prepares her to enter the Academy of Brera, where she will study with Giacomo Manzù and Marino Marini. Later she will graduate with Pompeo Borra. The appreciations that have accompanied her work in Milan are many and important. From Liana Bortolon to Dino Villani, from Franco Loi to significant artists such as Ernesto Treccani, Eugenio Tomiolo, Giuseppe Migneco, Alik Cavaliere or Bianca Orsi, to remember only a few, her painting has always been followed by a loving, attentive and qualified consent, from which there was never even a deep appreciation for her particular human temperament, for the lyrical quality of her secluded acuity, for the immersed rigor of his expressive choices. She lived and worked in Milan
