Free Your Mind, an international online mixed media assemblage exhibition by David Jacobs, officially opens on May 15 and will continue for two months until July 15, 2025.

Step into a world where the discarded is rediscovered, the forgotten reborn, and the ordinary transformed into the extraordinary. In Free Your Mind, David Jacobs invites viewers to loosen the grip of convention and explore the surprising intersections of memory, material, and imagination. Through a powerful collection of mixed media assemblage works, Jacobs reclaims everyday objects—once bound to singular, utilitarian roles—and breathes into them a second life with artistic purpose and wit.

Jacobs, a self-taught artist from Texas, began exhibiting in 2023, and in just a short time has captivated audiences internationally—from Zurich to Athens, Berlin to Pennsylvania. His work fuses function with narrative, motion with memory, and humor with deep reflection. Each piece feels like a puzzle—waiting not to be solved, but felt.

In Conflicted, the tension between good and evil isn’t just symbolized—it’s mechanized, raw, and immediate. Hope echoes with environmental resonance, showing the delicate balance between humanity and nature through tubes, wires, and filtered breath. In Challenger, the thrill of the open road and nostalgia for muscle car culture collide in a homage to freedom and speed. Interstellar and Final Frontier stretch beyond Earthly bounds—voyages into the unknown, metaphors for life’s unpredictable journey.

Pieces like Mohawklux and Chemistry delight with their surprise—bold, punkish, and wired with luminous curiosity. These artworks don’t just ask you to look—they dare you to wonder, to reconnect with the childlike impulse to invent from scraps, to believe in possibility.

Jacobs’ approach is unapologetically experimental yet grounded in intention. His motto, “every inanimate object deserves a second chance,” beats at the heart of this exhibition. Whether through flickers of light, coils of wire, or mannequin limbs cast as symbols of rebirth, Free Your Mind is an urgent and joyful call to see the world not for what it is, but for what it could become.

Running from May 15 to July 15, 2025, this inspiring solo exhibition is available to experience online at exhibizone.com/free-your-mind-exhibition.

Let go of logic. Embrace curiosity. And most of all—free your mind.

Artist ( Description ):

David Jacobs lives in Waco, Texas and is a self-taught mixed media assemblage artist.  He began exhibiting his work in 2023 and in that short period of time he was juried as a Finalist in September 2023 at the SwissArtExpo 5.0 in Zurich Switzerland for his work “Spaceship to Mars”.

In October 2023 his work “Size7” is on exhibit  Pennsylvania.  So far in 2023 his work has also been curator chosen for digitally exhibitions in Athens Greece, Berlin Germany, Zug Switzerland, and Palma Spain. Striving to create unusual assemblage art pieces that are each original reimagined from everyday disparate, forgotten, or rediscovered objects and materials would be a worthy achievement for most. But his unique art moves beyond using motion, sound, and lighting to heighten the viewing experience. His artwork strives to be both functional and purposeful.
