New Form, an international online solo wood art exhibition by Matthew Shewchuk, opens on May 01, 2023, and will continue through May 31, 2023.

The fundamental element of Matthew Shewchuk work is curiosity. Exploration of new ideas, forms, and constructions are what drives his experimentation with materials. He loves to push the boundaries of techniques or try to create new ones. Like all of us, he cannot separate himself from his life experiences and his work is a reflection of his own unique interactions. Apart from his travels to over 35 countries and growing up in the United States, Matthew has spent a majority of his time living and working in Japan. His designs often subconsciously reflect a subtle Asian sensibility inspired by the natural world as well as a sense of playfulness that evoke an emotional response.
