Seen and Loved, an international online solo painting exhibition by Anna Devonshire, opens on November 14 and will continue through December 14, 2022.
Anna's paintings investigate the language of plants, light, and space within landscape and interior settings. she is captivated by borderlines, fringe places where air meets earth, tension meets ease, memory meets foresight, and objectivity is altered by subjective experience.

Artist:
Anna Devonshire is a painter from Lancaster Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Millersville University. Currently she is living and working in Arkansas. She is a landscape painter who works primarily in oil paint. In addition to this, she creates soft sculptures made of unstretched canvases that have been painted, dyed, and arranged in order to create temporary forms that are influenced by landscapes and plant life, and act as exercises in composition. She discovered her love of painting through her studies at Millersville University of Pennsylvania and has created work through her interest in the transitional nature of plant life.
Devonshire has had four solo exhibitions and has been involved in eleven group exhibitions. In 2019 she won the Edna Rockow Workman Memorial Award and in 2020 received the Thomas A & Georgina T Russo Family Foundation Award in a juried exhibition with Clintel Steed. Her latest solo exhibition took place in the Swift Gallery at Millersville University in 2020. In 2020 she completed the Mount Gretna School of Art painting program. Her most recent gallery involvement includes having work on display at the Blue Mountain Gallery in New York City in 2021.
