IN paper and plex

Gallery 70 is pleased  to  present . “IN paper and plex” ,  a collective exhibition  of three artists Orion Shima, Ergys Zhabjaku dhe Jon Kraja that will run from November 26 , 2019 to January 7th ,  2020 with opening reception on November 26, from  18.00 to 20.00 at Gallery 70 Contemporary Art, Rr. Abdi Toptani (at Toptani Center ) Ground Floor . 

The artists  have selected  individual series of   works in paper and Plexiglas,   in small and medium formats . Works on paper or plexiglass are a process suitable for experiment, unlike the slow and important task of painting a large canvas or a panel.  Paper, gave the artists  the possibility to develop  another skill, making the  relationship between hand and eye  unusually direct. A rapid artwork on paper  reveals a great artist's genius in an exceptionally fresh manner

Orion Shima brings  eleven figurative artworks  of  oil paint on paper.  His artworks , are like  small studies. It reminds you of what   Vanja Strukelj , says about Orion Shima while exploring artist’s work   “ The viewer finds himself involved in a visual game...and has the opportunity to investigate the relationship  between body and the natural element”

Ergys Zhabjaku has selected for the end of the year show ,  a series of eight artworks in black and white  digital printing welded on Plexiglas . Always in search of new media to express his artistic talent, Ergys Zhabjaku surprises and amuses  with the themes and  the double layer effect  created.

Jon Kraja uses acrylic , spray , stamp ,  brush and pencil on colored and standard paper  for his artworks . The abstract artworks of the artist   have a fractal character resulting from the interpretation of the shadow  left by the objects that he places over paper.   

 “IN paper & plex  “can be visited from Monday to Saturday  17:00 to 19:00 or by appointment.
