Park Slope / Windsor Terrace Artists Autumn Open Studio Tour
November 16 and 17, noon to 6 PM
You are invited to our annual Park Slope / Windsor Terrace Artists Open Studio. Dozens of open art studios and special exhibitions will be located within walking distance and in the beautiful blocks bordering Prospect Park in Brooklyn.
Art locations in these two eclectic neighborhoods of Park Slope and Windsor Terrace will be marked with red balloons during the weekend. Visitors will be able to view and download maps to find them on our website by October 21st. As usual, a wide range of artwork will include painting, illustration, ceramics, pottery, photography, collage, print and sculpture. Avant garde, traditional art forms, and everything in between can be discovered. This year in particular, many artists have been creating pieces filled with fresh social commentary.
For many reasons this art tour has grown in popularity over the years, especially as Brooklyn has developed into a major resource for art and artists. It provides an excellent opportunity to meet or reconnect with active local artists, acquire unique art for a collection, or find a special gift as the holiday season approaches. Studio visits also provide the opportunity to see an exceptional collection of an artist’s work. They offer a singular, customized experience hearing firsthand the artist’s inspiration and process.
