Bernard Markowicz, owner of Markowicz Fine Art with galleries in Miami and Dallas, is proud to announce the grand opening of his third location in Laguna Niguel, Calif. The 6,000 square-foot location is the latest addition to Orange County’s dynamic art scene and community, committed to featuring a concentration of museum quality artwork from both established U.S. artists, and International and European artists not typically featured in the U.S.
“We are proud to announce the opening of our third gallery in Laguna Niguel,” said Bernard Markowicz, owner of Markowicz Fine Art. “We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to establish a presence in Southern California, a desirable location where artists and their works are celebrated for their diverse appeal to art collectors, investors and designers.”
Bernard Markowicz’s pedigree runs deep in the art world—as a collector, investor, and gallery owner. Originally from France, Markowicz began collecting art at the age of 16 and moved to the U.S. over a decade ago. He maintains strong ties to the Bel-Air Fine Art network, one of the leading contemporary art gallery groups in Europe. In his adopted hometown of Miami, Markowicz has cultivated a reputation as the “Godfather of French Art”.
Paul Dahmen has been appointed as the gallery director for the new Laguna Niguel location. Dahmen is a veteran of the Southern California art scene who previously served in the same role for FP Contemporary in the Culver City Arts District of LA. “I’m very excited to introduce the Markowicz brand to the receptive audience of collectors, designers and investors,” said Dahmen. “We’re really looking to shake up the regional art scene with something different, innovative, and distinctly positioned to appeal to the most astute clientele.”

About Markowicz Fine Art Gallery
Since 2010, Markowicz Fine Art Gallery has showcased an array of established international artists and exhibited at prominent art fairs across the country. Gallery locations include Miami, Dallas, and Laguna Niguel, Calif. These three gallery locations at Markowicz Fine Art feature hundreds of works from internationally known and European artists including Kai, Idan Zareski, Lyes, Metis Atash, Annalu, Stephane Gautier, Ted Collier, Arno Elias, Carole A. Feuerman, Francois Bel, Alain Godon, Marilyn Minter, and Tom Wesselmann.
Owner Bernard Markowicz is originally from Arras, on the northern border of France and Belgium. He began collecting artwork at the young age of 16, having been influenced by his parents’ appreciation for art and by his sister’s talent for painting. The huge success of Markowicz’ original flagship gallery in Miami necessitated a second location in Dallas, Texas, which has had meteoric success and fulfilled the city’s need for a gallery with exclusive agency to many established international contemporary artists. In Summer 2021, Markowicz expanded his gallery footprint to the West Coast with the opening of a third location in Laguna Niguel, Calif.
