About the Artist

Best known for her stoneware sculpture, Loretta’s work has been described as containing an interesting tension between symmetry and fluidity with its raw unglazed surfaces and organic forms that undulate and teem with life.  In near five decades she has produced two and three dimensional forms in wood, fiber, paint and clay; and continues to work with oil and acrylic paints.  Loretta’s sculpture and paintings have been juried into numerous international online exhibitions including Fusion Art’s Elemental – Air, Fire, Earth in 2015; Waterscapes, Animal Kingdom, 2nd Annual Figures & Faces in 2016.  She won an Honorable Mention Award for the acrylic painting “There is Safety in Numbers (Variation I):  Environment Series” in Colors in 2017; had work included in Colors in 2018; and “Double Monologues I: The Celia Series” received an Honorable Mention in Women Artists in 2018.
