Juried exhibition

Non profit gallery Arts Clayton on Main Street has an exhibition to include two of my recent portraits, that show will be up during February 2020.  Shown is Mary Hallock, as sculpted by Murray in 1903 at the age of 32.  She was Syrian by way of Lebanon, married into the DuPont family who were of her social station, held numerous patents for devices that played colored light to music, and was a piano soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra.  She had no patience for the sculptor suggesting she expose herself more for the portrait.  My print is from Murray's sculpture of her which I saw in Philadelphia in April 2019.  There will also be the portrait of Maria Jose de Quevedo, niece of the famous Spanish sculptor Benlliure's second wife.
