WATER MEDIA ON PAPER      REGIONAL COMPETITION & EXHIBITION
Eligibility Open to artists in the Pacific region working in water soluble media: watercolor, acrylic, casein, gouache and egg tempera on paper. Canvas is not accepted.    Exhibition Dates    SEPTEMBER 6th – 26th, 2013   Opening Reception    “First Friday,” SEPTEMBER 6th, 2013, 5:30 – 8 PM    Submission Deadline    Thursday, AUGUST 8th, 2013   JUROR Ronald Pratt   Awards   1st: $250 2nd: $125 3rd: $75; 3 HONORABLE MENTIONS   Exhibition guidelines   - Open to all artists in the Pacific region - Only water soluble media, watercolor, acrylic, casein, gouache, and egg tempera accepted. Canvas is not accepted. - All work must be original and not previously exhibited at Pacific Art League. - All work must be ready to hang with proper hanging device. - All work must be for sale; members (above basic membership level) receive 70% on sales; basic members receive 60%. - Size of work limited to 40” either length or width, including frame - All work must be labeled on the front and back with artist’s name, title, medium, size and price.   SUBMISSION PROCESS (NEW!!!) Images must be submitted online at www.OnlineJuriedShows.com. A quick tutorial on how to use www.OnlineJuriedShows.com is available on the How this Works page. For best results, please submit jpg images which are 1920 pixels @ 72 dpi on the longest side. However, you may also submit TIFF, BMP or PNG images, and they may be larger or smaller than the suggested dimension. Note: All images will be resized to 1920 pixels (longest side), so please no images less than 800 pixels long. Directions on how to photograph your work and properly size images can be found on the Help page. No shipped art will be accepted.   PICK-UP UNSOLD WORK   Friday & Saturday, SEPTEMBER 27th – 28th, 10am - 4pm   ABOUT THE JUROR   Ronald Pratt has been a watercolor artist for over 35 years and an instructor in watercolor technique for over 20 years. He is an associate member of the National Watercolor Society, California Watercolor Association and member of several San Francisco Bay Area art groups. His award-winning paintings are displayed throughout California and included in private collections around the world.
