"When Egon Schiele met Edith, she lived in front of his studio with her sister and father on the Hietzinger Hauptstrasse in Vienna. He  was at the time  in a complicated relationship with Wally Neuzil, his model. Edith's entry into his life put an end to Egon's controversial relationship with Wally, though he sought to preserve that relationship, with the woman serving as the image of his works. He would marry Edith, and as a ‘protege’ of Gustav Klimt in the Vienna  of the new century , the young painter and his brushes would start to its way. Schiele's work displays many  self-portraits and nude self-portraits, sexuality and a distinctive style, which goes beyond the initial imitations of the master Klimt. Among the many works that make up his legacy is the portrait of his wife, Edith, who failed to become a mother because while she was pregnant, the Spanish flu took her life, and three days later, took Shiele's life too.
Edith's portrait is preserved today in the "Belvdere" museum in Vienna along with the story of the creation of the work that was repainted at the request of the client.

ARTVIVE IN TIRANA
Sergiu Ardelean, founder of  ARTIVIVE , has come to Tirana to host an workshop  with art students, art professors and artists to present the platform that reshapes art with "new eyes".
"We are helping creator artists, and painters to create not only the traditional way of painting, but combining it with the digital approach by making digital layers that  reshape art when displayed in galleries and museums. Here in Albania we promoted this kind of approach.
"The final  idea is to have  an exhibition at  Gallery70, to show the works of art that have been created through this method", said Ardelean  for "Gazeta Shqiptare".
ARTIVIVE  project to bring  artworks to life  through technology, is extended to several countries. ARTIVIVE collaborates with museums, institutes and universities in San Francisco, Japan and China.

"In Austria we worked with the 'Belvedere' or 'Albertina' museum. We have worked with museums in Shanghai, Korea, Boston, Brooklyn. All these projects with universities, museums, institutes and galleries are giving us  new ideas of how to create  because we are seeing it as the 21st century art form. "They are all small pieces of the puzzle - something bigger", says Ardelean.

EGON SCHIELE'S WIFE

If we talk about museums in general, says Ardelean, most of  the visitors experience is the same for at least the last 50 years, which is very good, and should continue because museums have great works of art . They show them to the public , and they take  care as well. But our society has come a long way in recent decades. "And sometimes you have the feeling that museums are the way they were, with the same mentality. What we are doing with technology is that we are opening them up, towards new experiences. To give an example from the ‘Belvedere’ museum, where there is a very valuable painting by Egon Schiele with a special history.  The work after it was painted, was repainted. The version  that is displayed  in the museum is not the first version. "The artist  has repainted the artwork because the he  was told that the woman was dressed inappropriately. Schiele  kept  the painting, Ardelean notes,  went home , and painted another one that is displayed today in the museum. This  is the version that the then museum director wanted. Thanks to our technology you can even see even the first version. You can see while visiting the museum the whole story and the differences between the two versions. What we want to achieve is to enable visitors to interact with works of art in order to have a dialogue and an easier access to art history and to the artist.

ART BEYOND ELITES

Art is for everyone. "It is still the feeling that today's art is for the elites. And it can be understood by those who already know the life of the author and the history of the work. ARTIVIVE, is trying to change something. "The one that knows nothing about Schiele and his wife, will be able to understand the work and what is hidden behind it", says Ardelean.

ARTIVIVE where Sergiu is a founder, is a platform that enables the addition of a digital layer that gives visual art  a 3D dimension, it can add music or a narrative at the moment that  you see it exposed. To enable this feature you download the application, you see the artwork through your  camera, and  the new layer  that the artist has added to the work is activated. Museums like "Albertina" have used ARTIVIVE to "bring their collection to life" , making them attractive to young audiences.

Gallery70's collaboration with ARTIVE  aims, on the one hand, to equip artists with new technological skills for the benefit of their art, and on the other hand, to give them the chance to be part of  international art platforms.
