Established in 1979, October Gallery, London, was one of the original galleries in the United Kingdom to present contemporary art from all around the world and the first gallery in the UK to hold continuous exhibitions of African contemporary art. October Gallery, London, has represented El Anatsui, since the early 1990’s and has nurtured and developed the careers of several other prominent artists, including Romuald Hazoumè, Rachid Koraïchi and Nnenna Okore. October Gallery is led by two dynamic individuals Co-founder and Director Chili Hawes and Artistic Director, Elisabeth Lalouschek.
