Blue Line Arts is proud to present a new exhibit of works from Jim Piskoti. This show will contain a number of his works ranging in mediums and subject matter. Jim Piskoti is an artist who explores relevant social issues of today’s society such as increasing technology use, consumerism, and the depredation of the environment. His colorful works challenges its viewers to reflect on their own lifestyles and choices with regards to the thought-provoking subject matter he displays in his art.
Jim Piskoti received a Masters in Fine Arts from Yale University, School of Art and Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Design from University of Michigan. He was an Emeritus Professor of Fine Art at California State University, Stanislaus in Turlock, California for 35 years until his retirement in 2005. Piskoti’s art has been shown in many art instutions such as the Cocker Art Museum in Sacramento, the San Diego Art Institute, the Decordova Museum in Lincoln, MA, and countless university galleries.
This exhibit will be held from August 25th to October 7th at Blue Line Arts in Roseville. There will be an opening reception on September 16th from 5pm to 8:30pm, which will include an artist lecture with Jim Piskoti from 5pm to 6pm.The event is free however donations are always appreciated. Always lots of free parking.
